Crystal Rose (Layman) and Mathias John Schrantz were united as husband and wife on Saturday, July 28, 2012. Family and friends gathered at the Masonic Lodge in Fredonia for the intimate ceremony and reception.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Patricia Layman of Dunkirk, and the niece and goddaughter of Fred and Mary Eggleston.
The groom is the son of Dominic and Debbie Schrantz, and Tracy Smith, all of Dunkirk.

The bride was escorted by her mother. She wore a white, short-sleeved, v-neck chiffon gown adorned with rhinestones. Her accessories included a floating pearl necklace and earrings, along with a pearl love knot bracelet. She also wore a veil and diamond headband. She carried a bouquet of white and red roses.
The maid of honor was Emily Layman, the bride's youngest sister.
The best man was Veon Santos, friend of the groom.
The bride is employed at Key Bank.
The groom is employed at the OBSERVER.
The couple resides in Dunkirk.
