LANCASTER - Calan Pogorzelski finished first in the 600-meters Saturday at Lancaster High School during boys and girls indoor track and field action, on Saturday.
Pogorzelski took first in the 600 in a time of 1:53.4 while also taking second in the 300 (:48.5) and ran on the first place 4x200 relay team with Lisa Dunbar, Amanda Michalski and Shadaily Concepcion. The relay team crossed the finish line in a time of 2:05.4.
Dunbar was third in the pole vault with a jump of 8-feet while Concepcion was sixth in the 50 (:07.6) and Michalski fourth (:09.3).

Dunkirk’s Calan Pogorzelski competes in the 4x200 relay Saturday at Lancaster High School, during boys and girls indoor track and field action at Lancaster High School.
The boys team was led by Javier Soto, who took first in the 1,000 in a time of 2:59.6 while Ethan Francis was second in a time of 3:00.6. Soto and Francis also helped Tim Cerrie and Ray Tarnowski take first place in the 4x400 relay, as the quartet crossed the finish line in a time of 4:09.4.
Also for the boys team, Kevin Morales was second in the 600 (1:35.6), Nick Barlette was second in the 50 (:06.4) and second in the 300 (:42.4). Verek Nixon was third in the 300 (:42.8) while the 4x200 relay of Nixon, Morales, Barlette and Nick Stolinski took second in a time of 1:50. Alex Williams was third in the shot put with his toss of 41-10.
For Fredonia, Gwen Stokes had a splendid day with individual firsts and seconds and was part of a first-place relay team.
Stokes took first in the 1,000 with a time of 3:34. She was promptly followed by teammates Emily Wann (2nd, 3:38) and Clare Foley (4th, 3:39). Stokes also earned second place in the 1,500 with a time of 5:47.
The Fredonia 3,200 relay team of Stokes, Foley, Erica Vicary and Jill Kowaleski finished first in 11:32.
Also having success for the Lady Hillbillies were Allie Cobb in the 300 (2nd, 2:25), Courtney Sluberski in the shot put (4th, 29-4) and Vicary in the 1,500 (4th, 5:55).
Austin Glasier was the top performer for the boys team. He finished third in the long jump with a leap of 12-7 3/4.
Glasier also teamed with Garrett Johnson, Kyle Engel and Alex Kenney to earn Fredonia a fourth-place finish in the 1,600 relay in 4:53.
