SNYDER - Silver Creek rode another stellar game from Zeddie Williams to victory in the championship game of the Park School Invitational on Saturday.
Williams just missed a quadruple-double as he poured in 18 points to go with 13 assists, nine rebounds and nine steals as the Black Knights (1-0, 6-0) took care of host Park, 79-57.
"It was our first time in this tournament," Silver Creek coach Rob Genco said. "We wanted to get into a tournament where we played a couple bigger schools. We're happy to be able to bring home a championship."
Bill Brooks also put up a double-double for Silver Creek with 13 points and 10 rebounds. He also blocked eight shots and continues to average a double-double on the season.
"It's unbelievable what he does under the net," Genco said of the 6-foot-7 Brooks. "He's blocking shots, tipping the ball to himself and he's great at keeping the ball alive."
Kaine Kettle was Silver Creek's leading scorer with 23 points while Brennan White added 15. Stephen Marcey scored eight, adding five assists, five rebounds and five steals.
The Black Knights look to stay undefeated when they return to CCAA Division 2 play Monday against Salamanca.
