JAMESTOWN - Fredonia (4-2, 2-1) took out its frustration from a first-round defeat Friday with a 62-42 beatdown of Bennett, Saturday in the consolation game of the United Way Tournament at Jamestown High School.
The Hillbillies jumped out to a 21-9 first-quarter lead and never looked back, outscoring Bennett in every quarter.

John Piper led the way for Fredonia with 23 points - including 12 free throws - along with six rebounds and five steals.
"Piper had a fantastic game," Fredonia coach Greg Lauer said. "(Nick) Johnston went down with an injury last night and Piper really stepped up at the point guard position."
Dylan Meyer hit a pair of three-pointers en route to an 18-point performance. He added six rebounds and three assists in the win.
The Hillbillies outshot Bennett 19-7 at the free throw line.
The two teams will have a rematch in the opening rond of the Clarence Holiday Tournament on Thursday.
