The American Red Cross of Southwestern New York received a donation of $550 from Chautauqua Patrons Insurance Company recently. The funds, which were raised by the staff and company, will be used to help the relief efforts on the East Coast, which is still recovering from the effects of Superstorm Sandy. "We are thankful to Chautauqua Patrons and to all who have donated to the relief efforts," stated Kathy Burch, assistant executive director of the local chapter. "The Red Cross is still on scene in the areas, providing food, relief items, and physical and mental health support." Mrs. Burch added that all this was possible only through the donations of the general public and supporters such as the United Ways.
