Florence J. Gromala, 84, of Dunkirk, died Thursday morning, December 27, 2012, at the Absolut at Dunkirk.
She was born March 13, 1928, in Dunkirk, daughter of the late Albert and Justina Hylaszk.
A homemaker, Florence enjoyed playing Bingo and shopping.

She was a past member of St. Hyacinth's R.C. Church.
Surviving are her sons, Steven (Becky) Gromala of Fredonia, Joseph Gromala of Niagara Falls, and Thomas Gromala of Dunkirk; a grandson, Steven Gromala Jr. of Fredonia; 2 nieces; and many friends.
Preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, John Gromala, who died May 29, 1953; and a brother, Anthony Hylaszk.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 East Doughty Street in Dunkirk tonight from 7-9 p.m., where funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Hyacinth's Cemetery.
