Quick start leads Clymer past Brocton

BROCTON - The Clymer Lady Pirates (7-1, 3-0) stormed out to a big lead and never looked back in knocking off the Brocton Lady Bulldogs (2-5, 1-3), 56-36, Monday in CCAA Division 4 girls high school basketball.

Christy Reinwald and Danni Reinwald combined for 31 points to lead the Lady Pirates while Jolinda Rhodes led all scorers with 21 points. Danni Reinwald had 15 rebounds while Rhodes had five steals in the win.

Clymer jumped out to a 20-3 first-quarter edge and extended the lead, 43-10 by halftime.

The Lady Bulldogs were led by Jessica Putcher's 10 points and eight rebounds. Jess Merle added 10 points and as many rebounds in a losing effort.

Brocton returns to action Friday when it travels to West Valley.
