"Michael had a very good game tonight," Dunkirk coach Jerome Moss said. "He was able to find his shot and made some baskets for us. Alex controlled the middle of the paint and he was able to go strong to the basket. He did a good job doing that. He hit the boards real hard. He played an overall good basketball game."
The Marauders jumped out to a lead 12-4 lead thanks to an uptempo offense.
"We were able to get out early and play really good defense and get out on some fast break opportunities," Moss said. "We have been working on that. We were able to put some extra work in and we really looked for it and were able to do it tonight."
The Marauders held a 31-23 halftime edge and extended their lead to 46-33 lead after the third stanza.
Manny Maisonet contributed in the win with three assists and three steals.
Though Moss was happy with his team's win, he is hopeful a few of his players can get back into the lineup as many were out with the flu.
"The flu is going aound strong," Moss concluded. "We only had eight players tonight. They all played really hard. We hope to get the rest of the guys back and get them on the court."
