Fredonia State rallied from 10 points down to defeat Brockport, 69-68, in SUNYAC women's basketball Tuesday at Steele Hall.
Becky Hebert had 29 points and Jaimie Warren added 20, both despite playing in foul trouble.
Marissa Cussins added 12 points for the Blue Devils, who improved to 8-5 overall and 3-4 in the SUNYAC.
Cecilia Segrist had 19 points and 13 rebounds for the Golden Eagles (5-9, 2-5 SUNYAC). Ellen Story added 12 points and Hannalee Fordyce had 10.
Brockport took a 36-26 lead on a basket by Phoebe Byrnes late in the first half.
Trailing 37-32 at the break, the Blue Devils fell behind by eight points before mounting a comeback in the second half.
A basket by Cussins midway through the half cut the deficit to six. Hebert added two free throws shortly thereafter before heading to the bench after picking up her fourth personal foul.
Warren returned to the game with three fouls and proceeded to score the next three points on a free throw and a basket. Grace Moore (Fredonia) added a pair of free throws as the comeback began to pick up steam.
A basket by Warren with 8:47 left in the game put the Blue Devils up, 55-54. It was their first lead since the opening minutes of the game.
The advantage swung back toward Brockport, yet never by more than four points. The Golden Eagles held their final lead, 67-65, on a layup by Alexandra Marshall.
Back in the game, Hebert put the Blue Devils back up for good with a conventional three-point play with 2:16 remaining. They were the final points of the night for the Blue Devils.
Kelly Grinnell hit the first of two free throws for Brockport with 1:38 left, but missed the second attempt.
Neither team was able to score over the final nine possessions of the game.
Fredonia State will look to win its second straight SUNYAC came with it travels to Buffalo State on Saturday.
