The Steelers jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first period on a power-play goal by Owen Nicosia. Carter D'Agostino had the assist. The Eagles scored two goals and led, 2-1, at the end of the first period.
The Eagles had the lone goal of the second period. Hunter Rizzo's goal in the third period brought the Steelers to within 3-2 before the Eagles scored a goal with less than five minutes remaining in the third period.
Nick Novelli was in goal for the Steelers.
Niagara Coyotes 10,
Fredonia Steelers 0
The Coyotes scored three goals in the first and third periods and four in the second period and went on to defeat the Steelers at Steele Hall. The Steelers are now 6-14-2 in the league and play host to the Jamestown Lakers on Feb. 2 at 1:15 p.m. at Steele Hall.
NCCYHA Squirt MOHL
Steelers 5, Buffalo Bisons 2
Sydney Frost and Nick Frazier scored their first goals of the season to help the Gamerz Haven Steelers defeat the Bisons.
Ethan Brunner also had a fantastic game with a hat trick and an assist. Gabe Schrader and Joseph Newton also chipped in with an assist each.
Strong defensive performances came from Jack Storm and Alex Rush. Cooper Harris was stellar in the net for Fredonia with several key saves.

Standings as of Jan. 27 - Legion Machines, Da Wicked Skibbies, Ronnie's Crazy 8's, 8-Ball Assassins, Jamestown St. Marauders and Jamestown Tavern.
Top Gun: Throwback DJ is first in the Purple Tier. Mike Harris is first in the Red Tier. Kit Carpenter and Dave Covert are tied for first in the Yellow Tier. Mike Deering is first in the Blue Tier.

New Track Officials Meeting
Any individuals who are interested in becoming New York State Track and Field Officials should attend a meeting today at 7 p.m. in Room 627 at Fredonia High School.
Dunkirk-Fredonia Modified Ice Hockey Spring Team looking for players
The Dunkirk-Fredonia Modified Ice Hockey team is looking for seventh and eighth grade hockey players to play in the WNYHSCHL spring league.
Players must be currently enrolled in seventh or eighth grade in the Dunkirk, Fredonia or surrounding schools. Tryouts and practices start the week of March 10, and games will be played until the end of June.

DHS-FHS Boys Basketball Game Tickets
Tickets for the Fredonia at Dunkirk boys jayvee and varsity basketball games, which will be played tonight, will only be sold at the door. There will be no pre-sale tickets available and doors for the games will open at 5:30, with the jayvee game scheduled to begin at 6.
Dunkirk vs.?Fredonia boys basketball
Tonight's Dunkirk Marauders. vs. Fredonia Hillbillies boys high school basketball game will be televised on Channel 5 in Fredonia and Channel 12 in Dunkirk.
Ed Eaker will call the game and be joined by Frank Jagoda. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m.
