High winds cause problem for semi

A tractor trailer that jacknifed on Route 60 at old Chautauqua Road in the town of Gerry at 10:35 a.m. Thursday resulted in traffic on Route 60 being reduced to one lane for approximately two hours to allow for the removal of the the semi. According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office, heavy winds and atmospheric conditions caused the accident.

Domenick Defillipes, 53, of Cleveland, Ga. was traveling north on Route 60 when the accident occurred. There are no charges pending at this time.
