Lake-effect snow warning in effect

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a lake-effect snow warning for Chautauqua, Cattarau-gus and southern Erie counties. This is in effect until 4 a.m. Tuesday.

The heaviest lake-effect snow is expected through this morning. more lake effect snow is expected through early Tuesday.

Accumulations are ex-pected to be 4 to 8 inches Sunday night, 2 to 4 inches today and 1 to 3 inches tonight.

In addition, a special weather statement reported moderate to heavy snow was located from Westfield to Springville at 9 p.m. Sunday. This area was expected to remain through 11 p.m.

The weather service urged caution if traveling in the area, which includes interstate 90 between Silver Creek and the Pennsylvania state line.
