JAMESTOWN - James-town Business College is expanding its focus on the importance of leadership in business with a week dedicated to identifying strong leaders within the Jamestown community.
Leadership Recognition Week, which will be new in 2013, will feature leadership themed activities for students that will include nomination and recognition of strong leaders in Jamestown and in surrounding communities.
JBC President David Conklin said that in conjunction with lessons learned in the classroom and trainings, it's important for students to see, first-hand, strong leadership at work.
"Having the students identify those in the community that exhibit strong leadership will really add a great deal to this initiative," he said. "It will also allow students to become more informed and familiar with the leadership initiatives that are occurring in our communities every day."
More information about the activity will be announced this summer.
