FRENCH CREEK - On Saturday afternoon, New York State Police charged Dennis C. Teed, 44, of Belknap Road with third-degree criminal mischief (felony), aggravated cruelty to animals (felony) and cruelty to animals (misdemeanor).
Jamestown-based state police were called to Belknap Road for a complaint of a subject shooting and killing a neighbor's dog and shooting and injuring another.
Troopers located Teed who reportedly admitted shooting the dogs because they were trespassing on his property.

Teed was arraigned by the Town of French Creek Justice and released on bail.
