BROCTON - The Brocton Central School Drama Club will present the musical "Bye Bye Birdie" this weekend in the Leslie Rossiter Memorial Auditorium at Brocton Central School.
"Bye Bye Birdie" is set in the late 1950s and teenagers from across the United States are going crazy for handsome rock star Conrad Birdie. The MacAfee family and the residents of Sweet Apple, Ohio, go topsy-turvy when Birdie comes to town to serenade one lucky fan before he enters the Army.
Show dates are Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $8 for general admission and $6 for students and senior citizens and can be purchased in the elementary school office (792-2100) or at the door.
Conrad Birdie, played by James Luczkowiak, performs at the Sweet Apple Courthouse while his adoring fans look on. From left to right: Molly Kucharski, Mikayla Kawski, James Luczkowiak, Megan Guthrie, and Kathryn Rexford.
