Silver Creek takes Section 6 boys bowling title; Forestville 2nd

CHEEKTOWAGA - Silver Creek took home the Section 6 Class D boys bowling title Friday afternoon at Thruway Lanes in Cheektowaga, finishing with a total pin count of 5,312.

Forestville took second in Class D at 4,884, while Fredonia (5,339) took 12th overall in the Section, and was followed locally by the Black Knights (13th), Dunkirk (20th, 5,186), Jamestown (25th, 5,086), Southwestern (27th, 5,047), Gowanda (33rd, 4,890), Forestville (34th, 4,884), Randolph (37th, 4,746), Brocton (39th, 4,701) and Frewsburg (42nd, 4,508).

Frontier took home both the overall Sectional title, as well as the Class A title, finishing with 5,931 pins. Orchard Park (5,888) was second in Class A while Grand Island (5,846) took home the top spot in Class B and was followed by Cheektowaga (5,731). Class C was won by Eden (5,529), with Lackawanna (5,507) taking second.

Earning spots on the All-Section team were Andrew Herbert (Eden), Connor LaJoy (Cheektowaga), Peter Wozniak (North Tonawanda), Tyler Roskwitalski (Lewiston-Porter), Nate Maloney (Niagara-Wheatfield) and Aaron Broardt (Williamsville South).
