Julie A. Gugino and James E. Huels were united in marriage Sept. 1, 2012, at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Dunkirk. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Joseph Zalacca.
The bride is the daughter of Mary Anne Gugino of Fredonia and Mark (Linda) Gugino of Fredonia. The groom is the son of James P. and Cheryl Huels of Dunkirk.
Organist/vocalist was Tonia Piede. The bride was escorted to the altar by her father.

Lucy Agosto of Dunkirk served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Cathy Gugino, sister-in-law of the bride; MacKenzie Gugino, niece of the bride; Kari Huels, sister of the groom; and Tammi Feiner, all of Dunkirk; Renee Gugino, cousin of the bride, of Amherst; and Rachel Zebracki of Hunstersville, N.C. Keana Szczerbacki of Dunkirk, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.
Justin Ball of Matthews, N.C., served as best man. Ushers were Daniel Sepulveda of Wendell, N.C.; Jason Zebracki of Huntersville; Matthew Speziale of Amherst; Michael Gugino of Dunkirk, brother of the bride; Orlando Torres of Vestal; and Nicholas Speziale of Fredonia. Kyler Huels of Dunkirk, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.
A reception was held at the St. Hedwig Social Center.
The bride graduated from Dunkirk High School. She attends Jamestown Community College where she is finishing work on an associate's degree in applied science in medical office technology. She is employed as a medical biller/coder for Lakeshore Orthopedic Group PC.
The groom is a graduate of Dunkirk High School and earned degrees in computer art and design from Alfred State College in 2005 and graphic design from Bryant and Stratton College in 2008. A United States Marine Corps veteran, he is employed as a university police officer for Buffalo State College.
