JAMESTOWN - The benefits of using native plants in garden and landscape designs will be explored in four workshops on March 1 at Jamestown Community College's Jamestown Campus.
Open to novice and expert gardeners alike, Native Landscapes & Gardens Day will be held from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Carnahan Center. The $40 registration fee includes lunch.
Keynote speaker Sally Cunningham will discuss "Ecofriendly Landscapes and Gardens: Why? How?" Workshops will focus on how to obtain and integrate native plants.
The program is cosponsored by JCC, the Chautauqua County Master Gardeners, and the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy. To register, call 338-1005.
