Tickets for Fredonia musical on sale
Tickets are on sale now for Fredonia High School's musical "Thoroughly Modern Millie." The show will be presented March 15, 16, 22, and 23 at 7:30 p.m. each night. Tickets are at The Book Nook in the D&F Plaza and are $9 for adults and $6 for students/senior citizens.
Gowanda residents reminded to use garbage stickers
Village of Gowanda residents are reminded to use garbage stickers. The stickers are required to be placed on all garbage bags left at the curb. Garbage pickup in the village is weekly on Mondays. Stickers are required for all bags to be picked up. Stickers can be purchased at the village clerk's office in village hall or at Shop-n-Save.
Versailles Community Hall is sponsoring a Spring Craft Bazaar on April 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Vendors are wanted. For more information, call Sue Edler at 532-4459.
Portland Fire District to meet
A special meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Portland Fire District will be held on Wednesday, March 6 at 5 p.m with members of the Chautauqua County Fire Advisory's Board Radio Committee to discuss matters of mutual concern, and any other business that may come before the board. All meetings of the board are open to the public.
Vanstrom retirement reception March 11
There will be a retirement reception for Donna Vanstrom, Executive Director of Family Service of the Chautauqua Region, on March 11 from 3-6 p.m. at the Lillian Vitanza Ney Renaissance Center in Jamestown.
Friends, coworkerss, community members and family will have the opportunity to wish her well on her well deserved retirement from Family Service of the Chautauqua Region. Vanstrom has been instrumental in supporting the mission to strengthen the mental health and well being of individuals, families and our community. Dunkirk library seeks board members
Dunkirk Free Library seeks residents who are interested in serving on the Library Board of Directors. Interested applicants should have a passion for libraries and the services they provide the community, as well as the ability to effectively advocate for the Dunkirk Free Library. The library is especially looking for people who have skills in technology, finances, public relations and other skills beneficial to ensuring a healthy future for the library.
