Dunkirk's summer festivals just got a little bit better.
On June 15 at Memorial Park, the Great Lakes Experience will be presenting a fish and wildlife festival in an effort to educate the area's youth and community about the environment, safe boating and water recreation practices. "Since its beginning in 2001, the festival has grown from 300 participants to more than 3,200 people last year," Great Lakes organizers report. "In order to help bring this extremely successful community event to Dunkirk, the (Great Lakes Experience) is looking for corporations and local businesses to support the festival."
This afternoon at the Fredonia State incubator, a presentation to hear more about this special day will be a part of the Dunkirk Chamber of Commerce. It begins at 4 p.m.
