David S. "Junior" Andin Jr., 71, of Dunkirk, NY died Sunday (March 24, 2013) at his residence.
He was born in Dunkirk on Nov. 29, 1941, the son of the late David S. Andin Sr. and Anna (Sam) Andin.
A lifelong area resident, Junior was a well known face in Fredonia to many. He loved to talk to anyone he came in contact with.

An avid Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan, Junior also enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church.
Surviving are his brother, Nicholas (Betty) Andin of Dunkirk; his sister, Dorothy (the late Walter) Hanmann of Arizona; his beloved nieces and nephews, Nicholas C. (Beverly) Andin, James (Lisa) Andin, Joanne (Danny) Stevens, Deborah C. Washington, Paul (Pelagia) Hanmann, Carol (Tony) Kneiger, Cindy Hanmann and Jonathon (Rhizza) Hanmann. Many great-nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Harry Andin; his sisters, Jean Andin and Elsie Andin; his niece, Anna L. Raynor; and his nephew, Clifford L. Andin.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church. The Rev. Albert Sam, the Rev. Helen Sam and the Rev. Evonne Fancher will officiate. Interment will follow in the Willowbrook Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Newman Funeral Home Inc. from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Flowers gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church.
