Last week in the Buffalo area, a rally was held promoting the continuation of Saturday postal delivery. One of the distinguished guests of the rally was our former U.S. Rep. Brian Higgins.
Higgins, a Congressional member who almost never says no to spending taxpayer dollars, was right in the middle of the protests, calling for the resignation of the current U.S. postmaster general.
"This postmaster general has been a disaster. He needs to go," Higgins said in an article in The Buffalo News.
Maybe he's right. But something has to be done about the massive deficits at the post office. At least the postmaster has put forth a plan.
Anyone see or hear of an alternative plan from Higgins? The current path, for far too many, is a stamp of disapproval.
