James C. Reading, 59, of Dunkirk departed our world to be with the Lord on March 26, 2013.
Jim was a former employee of Carriage House.
Survivors include his loving daughter, Amanda Reading; future son-in-law Kevin Pearl; his precious granddaughter, Tiona Pittman and close friends Debbie Bishoff and Jose Morales; his brother and best friend, David Reading, brothers Charles Reading and Joseph Reading, all of Dunkirk; sisters Charlene Reading of Dunkirk, Caroline Barrett of Georgia and Harriet Irwin of Perrysburg, NY; and many nieces and nephews.

His parents, Charles and Catherine Reading; sister Joan Hall and nephew Eduardo Rivera predeceased him.
Jim will always be remembered as the handyman who never said no and was always willing to help in any
way he could. He was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan, loved the outdoors, doing his yardwork and spending time with his granddaughter Ti-Ti and his loving family.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 30, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Newman Funeral Home Inc. There will be no visitation on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held Monday, April 1, 2013 at 10 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
