Fredonia State junior left-hander Kyle Grey has been named ECAC Division III Upstate Pitcher of the Week.
In three relief appearance last week, Grey earned a win and a save while logging 9 1/3 innings with no earned runs and six strikeouts.
He tossed two innings vs. NAIA opponent Freed-Hardeman and surrendered two unearned runs. The next day, he picked up a 5-4 win over Houghton by retiring all 13 batters he faced while the Blue Devils rallied from a 4-1 deficit.
His third appearance of the week resulted in a three-inning save in a 5-3 win over Medaille. He struck out four, walked one, and allowed one hit.
On Monday, Grey was named SUNYAC Pitcher of the Week. His teammate, Zachary Hugg, won the SUNYAC award the previous Monday.
Grey, Hugg and their teammates return to action today when they play host to SUNYAC opponent Brockport at Ludwig Field. Scheduled first pitch is 3 p.m.
