Something just was not right going through the four corners of Brocton in the last five months.
But this past weekend, history returned to the village. Triumphantly.
The historic Brocton arches are back where they belong, thanks to the support of the community and generous donors. With the arches in place, the only thing that lacks is a real celebration for the village.
"This was truly a community event where everybody came together to refurbish Brocton's arch and allowed it to be put back up," said Brocton Mayor David Hazelton. "Now we can look forward to having it lit, which should happen before July and having it rededicated."
The reconstruction of the arch occurred on a beautiful day in our region. Here's hoping the rededication day will be just as nice.
