Another small step in a possible school reorganization journey takes place tonight.
Residents from the Brocton and Westfield districts are invited to attend a joint meeting of the school boards - the first since the report urging a merger was made public on March 20 - in the Brocton school auditorium at 6 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is for the Boards of Education to discuss the proposed merger.
And while audience members may have questions, this meeting is the first chance to hear what both boards are thinking publicly about the recently released studies.
That being said, it may be better for the public to listen before they ask. The in-depth study is still relatively new and if residents have questions, school board members will probably be in the same boat.
Staying informed on this major issue is a good thing for everyone. But residents also must be patient as well in learning more as the process continues.
