Village of Forestville flushing waterlines this week
The village of Forestville is going to be flushing the waterlines beginning Tuesday, April 16 at 8 p.m. through Thursday, April 18. Residents should expect cloudy water. The village urges residents to draw water that you may need before Tuesday, April 16. Water customers are advised NOT to draw hot water between Tuesday, April 16 at 8 p.m. and Thursday, April 18 until the flushing has been completed.
Silver Creek hosts free advice seminar
The Silver Creek Community Education program is offering a free seminar to those in our community who have or will be losing their job due to plant closings or cutbacks. The presentation is scheduled for April 17 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and also April 20 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the high school cafeteria. The discussion and slide show will include survival skills for dealing with change, how to best reduce cash flow needs, how to evaluate financial decisions during career change, health benefit options, and much more. Brocton American Legion Post 434 Auxiliary to meet
The Brocton American Legion Auxiliary will have its monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 16 at 7 p.m. at the Brocton Legion, 110 W. Main St., Brocton. Nominations of officers for next year will be discussed. Members are urged to attend.
