Mary G. Stumpf Salhoff, 64, of Fredonia died April 3, 2013. She passed away at home with her brother by her side after a lengthy battle with cancer.
She was born August 29, 1948, in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late Harold Thomas Stumpf and the late Gertrude Mary (Heid) Stumpf. Mary graduated from
Cardinal Mindszenty High School in 1966. She earned a Bachelor's Degree from D'Youville College in Buffalo in 1970. After college she worked for a law firm

in the World Trade Center before returning to the Dunkirk-Fredonia area. Mary enjoyed her beloved cats and she received great comfort in the
efforts of hospice volunteer Roberta "Bobbie" Thompson, who found refuge for the cats. She also enjoyed gardening with her friend and neighbor, John Murgatroyd. Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her nephew, Harold Thomas Stumpf III and Catherine M. Stumpf (Aunt Kate) who raised her
and her siblings after the deaths of their parents. She was also predeceased by her husband, David L. Salhoff. She is survived by her sister, Margaret A.
(Stumpf) Terese of Santa Fe, Texas, and her brother, H. Thomas Stumpf of Haymarket, Virginia. Also surviving are nephews Thomas A. Terese of San Antonio,
Texas, Major Timothy A. Terese of Dupont, Washington, and niece Lisa Erin Stumpf of Ashburn, Virginia. Her children will likely show the same love and
respect they showed her in life. A memorial service will be held at a future date. The family would like to thank the Visiting Nursing Association and Hospice
Chautauqua County for the care and comfort they provided. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Chautauqua Pet Peace of Mind Program, 20 West
