JAMESTOWN - The Human Resources Office at Jamestown Community Coll-ege sponsored the eighth annual "JCC Student Employee of the Year" Award in celebration of National Student Employment Week.
All campus nominees were honored at a luncheon and received a letter of commendation signed by the president of the college. The selected student of the year at each campus was presented with a memento and a $100 check.
Candice Sullivan was awarded the JCC student employee of the year for the North County Campus located in Dunkirk. Sullivan is an education major who plans to transfer to Fredonia State in Fall 2013. She has worked at the FSA Campus Store for over a year, she is a Peer to Peer mentor for new students and is on the Policy Council at COI Headstart.
The criteria for the award, including being employed for over six months as a student employee, took into account the five following characteristics:
Reliability - Depend-able completes projects and assignments successfully in a timely manner, regular attendance.
Quality/Quantity of work - Produces work of consistent high quality in an efficient manner.
Initiative - Works independently, requires little supervision, seeks new challenges.
Professional attitude/Interpersonal skills - Exhibits high standards, works well with other employees.
Commitment to the college promise - Approaches projects in a way that demonstrates commitment to the college promise.
