Local students visit Europe

May 2, 2013
The OBSERVER

The Spanish and French students of Silver Creek Central School recently returned from a fun and educational nine-day trip to Europe which included the cities of Madrid and Paris. Students visited the Prado museum, the royal palace, Segovia, Toledo and saw a Flamenco show while in Madrid. The next adventure was the overnight train to Paris where they visited the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, the palace of King Louis XIV in Versailles and several statues and monuments along the way. For some, it was their first time on an airplane. Pictured in the background is the Las Ventas bullring in Madrid. Front, center: Kira Parker and Siana Waterman. Back: Spanish teacher Albert VanDette, Michael O'Connor, Sarah Seitz, Destinee Geiogamah, Jewel Heald, Allison Westley, Jack McAlevey, Connor Vara, Anna Hartinger and James Klubek, high school principal.
