Michelle Lynn Markham, 51 years old, of Absolut of Westfield, Westfield, New York passed away with her loving family by her side late Tuesday morning April 30, 2013 at Absolut of Westfield following an extended illness.
Michelle was born in Westfield, New York on May 15, 1961 and was the daughter of the late Willis and Dorothy Genung Markham.
She spent most of her life in Brocton, New York. and was a graduate of the Brocton Central School District where she loved and participated on the softball team. Michelle was employed for many years as a Nurse's Aide for the Chautauqua County Home and Infirmary of Dunkirk, New York. She also had moved to Bradenton, Florida in 2007 where she worked for 5 years as a Nurse's Aide for the Bradenton Health Care Center of Bradenton, Florida.
She was a member of the Fellowship Church of Brocton, New York and Michelle also found great enjoyment in working with various Arts and Crafts.
She is survived by her son, Kyle Markham of Brocton, New York; her foster mother, Mary Jane Perkins of Portland, New York; one brother, Dale Markham of Brocton, New York; three sisters, Cheryl (Edward) Overstreet of Bradenton, Florida, Wanda (James) Hall of Brocton, New York and Phyllis Raynor of Brocton, New York and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her foster father, Carl Perkins; and two brothers, Larry Markham and James Markham.
The Funeral service will be held on Sunday May 5, 2013 at 4 o'clock from the Morse Funeral Home, 51 Highland Ave. in Brocton, New York. The Rev Sandy Ball of the Fellowship Church of Brocton will officiate. Friends are invited to call at the Morse Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m. prior to the Service.
Interment will take place privately at a later time.
