The Lakeshore Marine's Club BCA Pool Team won the Northern Chautauqua BCA (Billiard Congress of America) League Championship, and will now represent the League at the 37th Annual BCA International Championships to be held July 17-27 at the Rio Resort Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. More than 1,000 teams qualify to compete for the prestigious championship this year.
The team qualified by winning the regular season competition. By doing so, the Marine Club Team will not participate in the local Playoff competition.
This year, the team started out in first place and never looked back, as they were able to defeat every team. They only lost one match all season.

Leading the team this year again was Co-Captain Hector Rosas, who led the league in table runs. He also is the league's top Shooter again.
According to Team Captain Willie Rosas, the team really came together this year with the addition of Daniel Gleason.
"We were focused from the start of the season," he said. Rosas stated the team had a goal from the end of last season which was to qualify for the National Tournament in Vegas this year, and place in the top 25, so only half of the goal has been completed. Rosas noted the whole team contributed this season.
"We had seven players who could play for any team this season," Rosas said. "It was important for every member to know their roles. Winning this championship was not as easy as it looks on paper."
Rosas said the team is looking forward to returning to the National Championships this year. He feels this team can compete at that level, as all members have experience playing in the National Tournament. Both Hector Rosas and Willie Rosas are competing in the Individual Men's Open Division Tournament.
