Wednesday evening at about 6 p.m., a two-car accident took place on Route 60 in Dunkirk on the Thruway overpass.
Brittany Nopper, 21, who was driving a Pontiac Grand Am reportedly rear-ended a Jeep which was not moving on the road because the driver had run out of gas.
Both drivers were transported to Brooks Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. State police in Fredonia responded to the scene. A trooper reported Nopper was charged with driving while intoxicated and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Dunkirk Court at a later date.

Fire and emergency officials responded Wednesday to this two-vehicle accident on the Route 60 Thruway overpass in the town of Dunkirk.
East Town of Dunkirk Fire Department reported to the scene to provide medical assistance and direct traffic around the accident. Both southbound lanes of Route 60 were blocked.
In addition, the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
