The Community Service and Volunteerism/Leo's Club at the Lake Shore Middle School took some time out of their busy lives recently to help those less fortunate. Seven students, accompanied by their parents and club advisors, visited St. Luke's Mission of Mercy in Buffalo. The club members and parents went to work organizing clothes that will be given away, packaging food to be distributed, and preparing and serving lunch to those who otherwise would have gone hungry. The group was also able to deliver four full boxes of toiletry items, and towels, sponges and dishcloths to be used in the kitchen. All parents and students were reminded that sacrificing just a small amount of time really can make a big difference.
