At roughly 9:30 p.m., Fredonia Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire at 93 Howard St. Thursday.
The fire started in the attached garage and was contained to that area thanks to quick response time.
"We had a good water supply right out front," Lieutenant Alan Kurgan said. "We pulled lines out and went right to work. We had good manpower here. Everybody was doing good work."
The residents were home at the time of the fire and everyone escaped without injury.
"The main body of fire was in the garage and we kept it contained there for the most part," Kurgan said. "Right now we are doing ventilation work, making sure all the smoke is out and the fire didn't move anywhere into the house. There was no spread to the other houses. It was contained to this one house and the one part of the house."
The Fredonia Fire Department and Alstar Ambulance responded to the call.
