Junior catcher Julie Arnold (Fredonia/Fredonia) of The College at Brockport softball team has been named to the 2013 Division III second team All-Northeast Region, announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). Arnold was selected as a first team All-State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) pick earlier in the week.
Arnold started 31 games for the Golden Eagles, a majority of them behind the plate. The junior held one of the most consistent bats on the team throughout the year, finishing the season with a .309 average. Arnold collected 25 hits, drove in 14 runs and scored 11 times. Arnold was a mainstay on the bases, recording a .402 on-base percentage, good enough for second on the team.

The junior made just four errors on the year, posting a .977 fielding percentage and recording 148 putouts while adding 19 assists from the backstop.
Arnold was named SUNYAC Player of the Week on April 15.
