RIPLEY - The Ripley Eagles are primed for the playoffs following a 16-6 victory over Panama on Monday in non-league high school baseball action.
Trevor Enterline was the winning pitcher with nine strikeouts, two walks and allowed just five hits.
Devin Pope led the offense with three doubles while Logan Miller had a homer and a double for the winners. William Lisek and Cody Bird each had two hits for the Eagles.
The Panthers held a 4-2 lead in the fourth inning before Ripley finally broke the game open.
"They were hitting the ball hard," Ripley coach Ken Rowe said. "The low number of hits doesn't represent how well Panama hit the ball."
