ANGOLA - On May 2 and 3, the Lake Shore Middle School Seventh and Eighth Grade Bands and Orchestras participated in the New York State Music Evaluation Festival in Orchard Park. Two adjudicators, one from Rochester and one from Long Island, came to to evaluate the students on selections they have been working on. The students did not compete against other schools, but are evaluated based on a rubric of musical standards implemented by NYSSMA. After careful deliberation and consideration, the adjudicators rated the students on their performances.Based on how they perform the students can receive a rating of participant, bronze, silver or gold.
