CASSADAGA - The Cassadaga Job Corps Academy is proud to announce that Melissa Pietrkiewicz has recently been selected as employee of the month at the Academy. Pietrkiewicz is employed as a career counselor, responsible for monitoring student progress, counseling students through personal and professional conflicts and acting as a mentor and advocate for her students. She began her Job Corps employment as a residential advisor in 2004, and was promoted to career counselor in 2012, after completing her education. She graduated from SUNY Fredonia in 2009 with a BA in sociology and from the University of Buffalo in 2012 with a Master's in social work.
Pietrkiewicz reports that the best part of her job is "building relationships with our young people and watching them achieve their full potential, becoming highly employable men and women. I also really enjoy rolling up my sleeves and working with our students in the community."
She went on to say, "I really appreciate the Academy staff, all working toward the same goal, helping our students achieve results."

The Cassadaga Job Corps Academy provides career technical training to young people age 16-24 to assist them in gaining employment in high demand occupational fields. Students enrolled in Cassadaga Job Corps will pursue careers in construction or healthcare and all students enrolled attend on full federal scholarship.
