The Grape Belt USBC Youth Bowling Association held its 39th annual awards banquet at the Kosciuszko Club May 19. Sixty-six bowlers were presented trophies and plaques as winners in the annual tournament, held in April at Lucky Lanes, and holders of high averages of the association. Paul Nocek, proprietor of Lucky Lanes, was the honored guest and presented all bowlers with their awards. Trophies and plaques were provided by Smith & Smith Recreation of Fredonia. The meal was prepared and served by Pat's Catering.
Team winners in the tournament were as follows: The Cavemen (Randy Cooper, Brayden Manzella, E. J. Haase, & Brandon Haase) in Class A scratch (2,535); Elliot Martin, Carl Cotroneo, Tim Bartlett and Robert Paterson (2,611) in Class A handicap; DTMT (Damian Skelly, Trevor Skelly, Mallory Wojcinski and Travis Langworthy) in both the Class B scratch and handicap (1,615-2,596); and Lucky Lions (Robert Kozlowski, Brayden Smith, Tristian Olsen and Nathan Manzella) in the Class C scratch and handicap (1,203-2,802).

The following were doubles winners in their respective groups: Cotroneo and Paterson (1,414) in Class A; Johnathon Collins and Colton Hawkins (1,191) in Class B; and Jaxson Pencek and Alexander Paluch (1,349) in Class C. Scratch winners were: Golubski and John Nickerson, Jr. (1,237) in Class A; a tie between the teams of Collins and Hawkins and Wojcinski and Kolt Morton (717) in Class B; and Jared and Mariah Glowniak (682) in Class C.
Event winners in girls singles included Golubski in the Class A scratch and handicap (702-753), Wojcinski in the Class B scratch and handicap (327-570), and Olsen in the Class C scratch and handicap (308-772). On the boys' side, Steven Krystofiak took the Class A scratch and handicap (676-772) and D.J. Lombardo did the same in Class B (512-692). The lone split came in Class C as Jared Glowniak (373) won the scratch and Cory Paterson snatched the handicap (683).
In the all events category, Golubski again swept the Class A scratch and handicap (1,969-2,122) and Wojcinski followed suit in Class B (1,086-1,815). Olsen took both the scratch and handicap in Class C (868-2110). For the boys, Manzella took the Class A scratch (1,654) while Cotroneo claimed the handicap (2,028). Paterson swept the Class B scratch and handicap (1,521-2,016) as Class C was split with Tristan Skelly (1,094) in the scratch and Pencek in the handicap (1,914).
Golubski won highs of the tournament for girls with a high scratch-handicap series of 707-753 and a high game scratch-handicap with 279-296. Krystofiak had all four highs as well for the boys as he rolled a high scratch-handicap series of 676-772 and a game scratch-handicap of 245-279.
Association high average awards were presented to Rachel Glowniak in bantam girls (94), Samuel Kawski in bantam boys (106), McKenna Steklasa in prep girls (127), Travis Langworthy in prep boys (144), Adrianna Pencek in junior girls (154), Peter Kubera in junior boys (174), Golubski in major girls (183) and Eric Chimino in major boys (192).
