SILVER CREEK - Willow Creek Winery is having its 13th Annual Willowfest beginning Thursday and running through Sunday. This event is held as a three-day festival in which food, drink, music, and play all come together.
Originally held as a one-day event this event has grown into a three-day festival where the people of Chautauqua County and parts of Erie County can get together to celebrate the Lake Erie wine industry. It includes live music, wine slushies, wine, beer, food vendors, and crafts from local vendors.
The weekend will begin on Thursday at 5 p.m. with a Preview Show featuring live music with Black Widow. Black Widow, from Buffalo, will be making another visit to Willow Creek playing their diverse repertoire of party, rock, dance, country, and alternative music.
Friday will begin with a Fireman Hose Race at 6 p.m. At the same time, Nashville recording artist, Everett Lee and Underground Stampede, will take the stage delivering their combination of country and classic rock music.
Terry Buchwald as Elvis will go on at 7 p.m. and the evening will conclude with fireworks.
On the final day of Willow Fest, the winery will begin at noon, featuring live music from The Oliverio Band beginning at 3 p.m.
Dunkirk native Sean Patrick McGraw will be featured as Saturday night's main act. Touring nationally, McGraw is making a stop at Willow Creek Winery to close out the music for the weekend.
The festival will conclude with New York's largest hand-lit fireworks display (approximately one hour and 20 minutes).
This year there is free admission and free parking all weekend long.
