Mary T. Porpiglia, 96, of Dunkirk died Thursday morning (June 27, 2013) at the Chautauqua County Home in Dunkirk.
She was born Feb. 15, 1917 in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Grabias) Adamek.
A lifelong Dunkirk resident, Mrs. Porpiglia had been employed by the former Van Raalte and Marsh Valve, both in Dunkirk, and Niagara Therapy in Brocton.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family was most important to her.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Fisk of Interlachen, Fla.; one son, George Jr. (Dorothy) Wolfe of Dunkirk; one sister, Stephany Adamek of Dunkirk; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, George Wolff Sr.; second husband, Robert Richmond; and third husband, Paul Porpiglia; two sisters, Bernice Henderson and Angeline Gullen; and two brothers, Joseph and Edward Adamek.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
