Carolyn M. Hull of Fredonia, NY, formerly of Lake Wales, Fla., died Thursday (June 27, 2013) at Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, NY.
She was born in Lima, Ohio, on July 25, 1935 to the late William and Margaret McNamar.
Mrs. Hull taught second grade in the Dunkirk City School System for 34 years. After retiring in 2000, she moved to Lake Wales, Fla. Carolyn was very active as a volunteer at Bok Tower as a doce'a and at Lake Wales Medical Center in Lake Wales. On Oct. 12, 2012, she returned to the Dunkirk-Fredonia area to be with her daughter and granddaughter.
She is survived by her son, Alan J. Hull of Lake Wales and daughter Julie A. Harte of Fredonia, NY. Carolyn is further survived by three grandchildren, James A. Hull, Miranda M. Harte and Serena Hull; former husband, Dr. Ronald E. Hull of Evansville, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her grandson, Daniel A. Hull of Lake Wales.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Fantauzzi Funeral Home, 82 East Main St., Fredonia, NY on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service and may call at the funeral home from 12 noon to 2 p.m., prior to the service. The family suggests that memorial donations in Carolyn's named be made to the ASPCA or for Alzheimer's research.
