Theodore J. "Ted" Gorka Jr., 81, of Brocton, NY, died Sunday (June 30, 2013) in Fort Wayne, IN.
He was born May 30, 1932 in Dunkirk, NY, the son of the late Theodore J. Gorka Sr. and Gertrude (Feinen) (Gorka) Reed.
Mr. Gorka was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He had been em-ployed as a steelworker.
He was a member of American Legion Post 434, Fire Police, and had 55 years of service with the Brocton Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his daughter, Kathy (Stan) Keller of Fort Wayne; a brother, William (Barbara) Gorka of Fredonia; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Gorka; a brother, David Reed; and a sister, Joan Riforgiato.
Ted made a gift of his body to Indiana University Medical Center to further education and research.
A Memorial Service is being planned for later this year.
