Fredonia History Days will feature two musical performances in the Gazebo on Saturday, Lemon 12 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. and Allegheny Crossing from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Lemon 12 is an acoustic rock group featuring local veteran musicians Rik MacKenzie, Pete Majka and Eli Tederous. Their performances include hits from the '60s and beyond by artists like The Beatles, Eric Clapton, The Doobie Brothers, Supertramp, Pure Prairie League, Seals and Crofts, Cat Stevens, Jethro Tull and many others.
Lemon 12 also performs a number of original songs as well along with their huge variety of classic rock hits. Lemon 12's acoustic show is appealing to audiences of all ages, so they were a welcome addition to the schedule of Fredonia History Days.
Allegheny Crossing is an old-time string band featuring music from the Victorian era into the twentieth century.
The leading members of the seven-member group are Dick and Carmen Gilman from Fredonia, who themselves were well known performers in the popular local group "The Newton Street Irregulars." The Gilmans perform with Allegheny Crossing only occasionally, so Fredonia History Days is thrilled to include their talents in this year's event.
For those who like to dance to the old style tunes of Americana, Allegheny Crossing will get the crowd tapping their feet and grabbing a partner for this old-fashioned street dance.
