Amanda Lee Thies and Jonathan William Cuthbert were united in marriage on May 11, 2013 at 3 p.m. in a double ring ceremony at Christ Chapel Weslyan Church in Silver Creek. Pastor Wayne Tooley officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Cookie Stevens of Silver Creek. The groom is the son of Gerald and Toni Cuthbert, also of Silver Creek.
The bride was escorted by her mother. The bride wore an ivory, floor-length, strapless gown with a gathered bodice. It was embroidered with detailed crystal beadwork. She carried a bouquet of white and red roses designed by her mother-in-law.

The bride was attended by her maid of honor and best friend, Tiffany Bund of Silver Creek. Her bridesmaids were sisters-in-law Lisa Cuthbert of Fredonia, Jamie Cuthbert of Silver Creek and Rebecca Schwab of Dunkirk. They wore floor-length black and ivory dresses.
The flower girls were daughter of the bride and groom Isabell Cuthbert and niece of the bride and groom Evelyn Cuthbert. They wore matching white and black dresses.
The groom was attended by his best man and best friend, Andrew Tundo of Silver Creek. His groomsmen were brothers Jacob Cuthbert and Joel Cuthbert and friend Steve Weilgasz. The ring bearer was nephew Maxwell Cuthbert.
A reception followed the ceremony at Katerina's in Dunkirk.
The bride is a graduate of Silver Creek High School and is employed as a PCA at Venture Forthe. The groom is also a graduate of Silver Creek High School. He is employed as a cash room attendant at Seneca Gaming and Entertainment.
Mr. and Mrs. Cuthbert returned to their home in Silver Creek.
