IRVING - Patients in need of Outpatient Physical Therapy services at Lake Shore Health Care Center now have more options for appointment times with new extended hours, according to program officials.
Karen Kaminski, PT, Director of Rehab Services at the Irving facility, said hours have been extended on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 7 p.m.
"The change was made to accommodate patient needs, especially those wishing to come after their work hours or later in the day," she explained.
The department is open starting at 7 a.m. Monday through Friday. Though appointments are made through physician referral, anyone with questions or issues to discuss can call the department at 716-951-7270. The department is also open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
According to Kaminski, services offered during the extended hours will range from orthopedic care to the treatment of those with back, neck, knee, hip and shoulder issues.
Lake Shore's Physical Therapy Department is staffed by Kaminski, who also holds certification in the treatment of lymphedema; Benjamin Baumler, PT; and Caitlin Greenstein, DPT, OCS. Patient services at the Irving facility also include Outpatient Occupational Therapy with Andrea Reed, OTR/L, and Speech Therapy with Natalie Hobbs, MS/CCC-SLP, Speech/Language Pathologist. To reach Hobbs, call 951-7083.
