United Way of Northern Chautauqua County is accepting applications for Community Investment Funding. Community Investment Funding provides funds to organizations in support of projects that address priority human service needs in Northern Chautauqua County. Program areas that will be given consideration are education, helping children and youth achieve their potential; income, promoting financial stability and independence; and health, improving people's health.
501(c)(3) agencies registered with the New York State Charities Bureau may apply for these funds. Projects submitted may be either new or existing programs not currently supported by UWNCC funding. Funds will be awarded for the 2014 calendar year, during which UWNCC will evaluate the on-going need for the program as well as the provider's performance. Agencies may re-apply for funding each year under the Community Investment Funding Program; however, no commitment of continued funding is promised or implied.
Community Investment Funding will be used to support projects that address problems in the community identified through problem identification studies and/or needs assessments.
If your organization is interested in applying for funding, request a funding application by calling 366-5424 or emailing email@example.com no later than Sept. 13. Funding applications are due in the UWNCC office by the close of business on Oct. 4.
Once those chosen for final consideration are determined, those applicants will be contacted to schedule a time to meet with the Community Investment Committee.
