Man, 28, found unconscious in vehicle, charged with DWI
RIPLEY - A 28-year-old Erie, Pa., man was charged with driving while intoxicated on Saturday after he was allegedly found to be sitting unconscious at the wheel of a vehicle in a driveway that did not belong to him.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office, at about 9:15 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the scene after the report came into the office. Shortly thereafter, the deputies learned the vehicle had dispersed.
A vehicle matching the description was located and stopped on Route 20. Upon making contact with the vehicle, the operator identified himself as Bryan M. Gregory. A subsequent interview and investigation allegedly found Gregory to be intoxicated.
In addition to the DWI charge, Gregory was charged with aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol content over .18 percent and refusal to take a breath test. He was released to a third party and will appear in Ripley Town Court.
Two injured in motorcycle/deer crash in Pomfret
According to the New York State Police at Fredonia, 20-year-old Travis McCarthy of Sinclairville and a 17-year-old youth from Forestville were traveling south on Route 60 around 9:30 p.m when a deer ran across the road right in front of them. The motorcycle hit the deer.
The two individuals were taken to Brooks Memorial Hospital by the Cassadaga Fire Department.

MAYVILLE - Henry B. Stovall, 36, of Mayville was arrested on Aug. 30 for an incident that took place on Aug. 28 at 15 Water St. According to deputies, a verbal argument was taking place between a male and female when a third party male tried to intervene. Stovall allegedly struck the man in the face. He was issued an appearance ticket.
BEMUS POINT - Aaron F. Phillips, 33, of Jamestown, was arrested on Aug. 30 after Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies allegedly observed a vehicle operating with a loud and inadequate muffler on Lakeside Drive. After stopping the vehicle, deputies performed a search and allegedly discovered an open container of alcohol, a small amount of marijuana and prescription pills. Phillips was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance outside its original container, unlawful possession of marijuana, possession or consumption of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and a loud or inadequate muffler. Phillips is due in the Ellery Town Court.
HANOVER - Sunny A. Leblanc, 31, of Little Valley, was arrested on Aug. 30 at 10:45 p.m. after deputies stopped a motor vehicle that had allegedly been involved in a minor accident. Leblanc was found to be intoxicated and taken into custody after further review of her driving record revealed she had a prior DWI conviction. Leblanc was arraigned and released to appear in court at a later date for the charges of felony DWI, DWI per se, suspended registration and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
RIPLEY - Rosa N. Jauregui, 31, of Lackawan-na was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated per se and speed in zone Sunday after deputies observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on West Main Street at 1:15 a.m. After stopping the vehicle, the driver was identified as Jauregui and a further interview and investigation allegedly found her to be intoxicated. Jauregui was issued citations and will appear in Ripley Town Court.
HANOVER - Joseph T. Sliwinski, 59, of Angola was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater and moving unsafely from a lane on Sunday after deputies stopped a vehicle on Route 5 and 20 for a traffic violation at about 1:43 a.m. The operator was identified as Sliwinski and an investigation allegedly found him to be intoxicated. He was taken into custody and later released with traffic tickets. Sliwinski will appear in Hanover Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.
