On July 6, Point Drive West and Crooked Brook Drive neighbors reunited for a neighborhood picnic after nearly 40 years. Virginia and Francis Flynn gathered neighbors many years ago and started a tradition in the neighborhood every summer for a picnic. As years went by, the neighbors grew up, married and moved from the neighborhood. However, the committee of Mary Ann Begier, Mary Beth Begier Damon, Kellie Flynn Bishop, Lisa Flynn Sellari and Margaret Begier Berlin thought it would be fun to get the old neighborhood back together again! Mary Ann and Norman Begier hosted the picnic in their back yard. Pictures were displayed of neighbors who had passed away. Fond memories were shared by those present, games such as a water balloon toss and coin throwing were played, and new members of families were met.
